For the production of THE RIVALRY at Lamb's Players in Coronado. California. The show was about the Lincoln/Douglas senatorial debates from the 1850s. Awesome piece of history.

I was the Scenic Designer, Scenic Artist, Multimedia Artist and Prop Master for this production. I really maxed out during this one :) - plus SMing another show...

The back wall is made up of 9.5 inch by 8 foot long pieces of 3/8 inch plywood with washes on it. The platforms are basic (cheated) decking construction weathered with washes to look old.

Concept was to look through a crack in time to the past. Nothing shiny on the stage (except for the actors).

Scenic design: me

I love the images projected onto the back wall~
I mean it's awesome enough on it's own, but it looks just epic with the images. :)

I also love how it's not a traditional kind of front view, you know? I dunno how to describe it, but the fact that the platform's edge is towards the audience is just pleasing to my eye, I suppose. xD

Thank you for the comment! I appreciate it! :)

I wanted to make the audience feel like they were part of the debates.

Mmh! No problem! It definitely gives off that feeling that you're in the same room as whoever is onstage; so good work! :)
